Sometimes, things happen that can change you forever. I’m not talking about the good things that happen to lucky people like the high school football player who throws the winning pass in his final game and carries the win through life. And I’m not talking about the kind of luck that a police officer has when he steps off to the shoulder of a highway just as a truck slams into the abandoned car he was leaving a ticket on. Scientists and doctors spend years perfecting theories and equations that disprove all the little things that we feel in our guts. Why? Why do we go to such great lengths to disprove things we inherently feel are real? Who decides if it’s fashionable or unfashionable to be spiritual? And why is that even a debate?
