    Chapter One

    Learning the Language

    Job 33:14

    God speaks once yes twice...yet man does not perceive it...

    Job 33:14, emphasizes the consistency of how God speaks in saying that God speaks once and twice. We also learn in the scripture (Job 33:14) that God is readily speaking; yet we do not always understand what He is saying. Therefore, when it comes to hearing God, the problem is not that God is not talking, but that we do not yet perceive His voice.

    I have discovered that there are two main reasons that we do not perceive when and what God is speaking to us. The first reason is that we don’t believe that He is already speaking. The second reason is that we do not understand how God actually speaks when He does speak to us.

    What I mean by this is many who feel as if they do not hear God are actually expecting God to speak to them in a rather different way than He is already speaking to them. Truth is we must understand how God speaks in order to know what it is to hear His voice, and there are many ways that God may speak to us. It is in understanding the many ways that God may speak that I consider to be what it means to Learn the Language of God. You will have great understanding of this and how this takes place by the time you finish this book.

    Perceiving God’s Voice

    Understanding God's voice is much like understanding the XM satellite Radio signal. It is always picking up a satellite frequency, yet we must tune into the feed in order to hear it. Only learning the language of God can put us on heaven's frequency, give us a signal awareness that He is speaking, and allow us to tune into what He is saying. Job 33:14 is teaching that God is constantly speaking, yet somewhere in
