On their six month trip through Europe, the Noonans posted a series of monthly blogs back home to Australia. Everyone back home said they were a very entertaining read, so here they are for you all to enjoy.

John has traveled to most parts of Australia and New Zealand with his wife Tracey and two daughters Taylor and Jacqui. He backpacked through South East Asia and the USA for a year and also ran a 4WD Tourist operation in Kakadu National Park in northern Australia. In 2005 they all went on a six month tour of Western Europe in a campervan. The rest of the time John works in the IT industry as a Project Manager, having clocked up 15 years at IBM Australia

Introduction
On our six-month trip of Europe we posted a series of letters from Internet cafés every month. Since our time was limited they had to be short, sharp and sweet. After flying into London and staying with my wife’s niece Amy for a couple of weeks, four weeks on the road found us in Lisbon, Portugal.
There’s a Glossary at the back to explain all our unique Australian turns of phrase.
