Introduction

So you’ve decided to learn ‘cartooning’. Cartooning can be one of the most enjoyable hobbies, but perhaps not at first. Creating your cartoon will take some practice and perseverance, just like any hobby does.

While it’s true that talent does play a part in the ability, there are simple steps one can take to begin learning the skill that’s involved. People who are able to play an instrument by ear, before knowing the notes are ‘talented’. A person who learns to read notes and play the instrument is ‘technically trained’. A person who is talented and technically trained will master the art entirely.

If you have the talent, then this book will enable you to broaden your skills. As with any talent, the art of practising will hone your talent and enable you to master the field.
