One of the most tense, gripping thrillers you will ever read. From UK and US bestselling author Taylor Adams.
A KIDNAPPED LITTLE GIRL LOCKED IN A STRANGER'S VAN. NO HELP FOR MILES. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Darby Thorne is a college student stranded by a blizzard at a highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere. She’s on the way home to see her sick mother. She’ll have to spend the night in the rest stop with four complete strangers. Then she stumbles across a little girl locked inside one of their parked cars.
There is no cell phone reception, no telephone, no way out because of the snow, and she doesn’t know which one of the other travelers is the kidnapper.
Who is the little girl? Why has she been taken? And how can Darby save her?
Full of shocking twists and turns, this beautifully written novel will have you on the edge of your seat.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a thrilling rollercoaster ride with plenty of twists and suspense. The story is fast-paced and keeps readers on the edge of their seats. While some reviewers found the book to be too far-fetched or irritating, overall, the majority enjoyed the plot twists and character progression. The narration is praised as excellent, and many readers couldn't put the book down. Although there are a few negative reviews, the positive feedback outweighs the negatives, making this book a recommended read for fans of thrillers.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is more of a suspense thriller but full of twists! Twist after twist after twist. You'd see some of them coming but you'll still be scared and gripped. In a little way, like Peter Swanson's The Kind Worth Killing.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I enjoyed the ride! I agree with the rest of the reviews. Lots of unbelievable moments but it didn't matter. The action literally did not stop. A WARNING FOR THE SQUEAMISH (SPOILER): There are a few moments in this book that I almost threw up over. The lead character is tortured in... a horrible way that I will now have nightmares over.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Why is this not a movie!?!? It was an amazing and frustrating (in a good way) thriller! Definitely my top book for the year…I hope I’m calling it too early and something will top this but it’s doubtful!

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5So over the top ridiculous!! Completely implausible but completely unputdownable. So that’s a wash. If you are willing to suspend belief then you’ll absolutely enjoy this crazzzzy ride.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very enjoyable listen, lots of twists right to the end and a strong but not perfect female main character. Due to the many twists it could have possibly been shorter as the events did repeat themselves albeit in different ways but that was the story. The narration was clear, I would recommend this audiobook to others and will look out for other books by this author.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book was ok a bit over the top and though it had some good unexpected turns they weren’t at all page turners. The ending was a bit messy

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Gah. This was an “edge of your seat” book but not in the good way where you’re always guessing but more in the “this is horribly annoying but I have to finish” way. Yeah ok, there are twists that I didn’t FULLY expect but I had a feeling from the beginning that they might be coming. Determination, sure, also some situations that you wonder “are you kidding me, Darby?” This book mostly pissed me off . I wouldn’t read it again and I wouldn’t recommend it either. Irritating would be the description. I was angry the entire last hour and there’s no ending that can possibly bring me back from that kind of rage. I hate this book with a passion and I need 9 hours of my life back. Crap.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The concept of the book and the plot with all its twists was great. The reason for the 3 star is the unnecessary cursing and to many sex references/words used. A book can be entertaining and engaging without all the ugly words and references in it. Additionally , Ashley and Darby repeated themselves so many times it was a bit annoying. Why did the author throw in the bit about Ashley and his brothers home life. Felt like “filler” info and not necessary for the story to be good. It was quite annoying.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I think this is an engaging read, but I don’t understand why are there so many causalities … that should have been avoided. And I don’t like how the “magic man thing”, obstacles occurred just to add “twist” to the story…
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow this was really good. I actually had tried to read this book and somehow I lost track of it in all my kindle books. The narrator of this book really helped me get into the story more. I like action adventure and this was a good one. Great story and you will root for Darby and little Jay. This is a story about not giving up and not looking away. We see what happens in today's world when you intervene, I mean come on it was just a big news story. People need to be supported more for taking action to help others and not suffer because they try to help someone. Darby sacrifices so much to help an innocent child. Great story. One of the better ones I have listened to this year. Warning there is a part where I think a cat is harmed, I fast forwarded through it. I wish authors would stop harming cats in stories.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A great thriller. I enjoyed it because the language was mild and it was just a good edge-of-your-seat type ride.
