About this audiobook

Winnifred "Win" McNulty has always been wildly independent. Not one to be coddled for her limb difference, Win has spent most of her life trying to prove that she can do it all on her own. And, with some minor adjustments, she's done just fine.

That is until she has a one-night stand with the incredibly charming Bo, a perfect stranger. And that one night changes everything.

While Bo is surprisingly elated to step up to the plate, Win finds herself unsure of whether she can handle this new challenge on her own or if she'll need a helping hand.

Together, Win and Bo decide to get to know one another as friends and nothing more. But, as they both should know by now, life rarely goes according to plan.

It cleared shows how every single person will find their "person" regardless of their disability. The spice you added was nothing short of phenomenal and really made the book that extra special. I read the book last year and when I saw that it was available as an audio, I immediately download it and listen to it and I enjoyed it and audio as well. Love that there is no third act break up.

You can tell a woman authored this book because the depiction of the main male character is straight out of her dreams and fantasies. His only flaw is -gasp- he likes lord of the rings. Was so corny and unrealistic. True non fiction work here with his character. Eye roll!

Hopeful and sweet, real emotions during unknown times. I enjoyed this story, it was a break from dramatic turns and disingenuous people.

Really enjoyed this one. Win & Bo were so cute together and Sarah & Caleb were entertaining. Loved all the relationships outside of Win & Bo as well. Watching their relationship grow was really special. Up until the end I would have given it 5 stars but then it got TOO cheesy and perfectly wrapped up. Loved the disability rep - it was important to the characters and their development but it wasn’t the main piece of the story - seemed realistic to me (as an able bodied person).

    Trigger warning for suicide

    5 ?

This book was a balm for my aching soul ?

I was a little hesitant to pick this book up, because I can rarely deal with the heartbreak when a character suffers from a condition that can't be fixed. Here, it was all so real, but so hopeful all at once.

Win just flows through life like a leaf being carried by a river's current. She has big dreams, but the reality of a day to day life keeps her from making them come true. On a Halloween party she meet Beau, they click instantly and have the most wonderful one night stand that gets the pregnant. This is they journey on how to navigate the co-parenting when you not so secretly want to recreate the infamous Halloween night ?

The balance in this book is incredible! All the heartbreaking moments are reward with so much sweet loving. The MCs keep it real and are aware of their limits, but don't sit around and whine about them. The fears are real and the communication and oppennes is chef's kiss! This is a single POV yet the scenes where Beau pours his heart out are written in such a way that you feel like you are reading them straight from the inside of his head.

I should’ve read the description before I attempted to listen to this book. That’s on me. I hate and I do mean hate the pregnancy trope
