About this audiobook
Taylor Donovan has been hiking on the trails behind the Shaw family's cabin her whole life. As children, Taylor and Phoebe were best friends before sharing a secret summer romance when they were sixteen, which left Taylor brokenhearted when Phoebe fled at the end of the summer. Now the property has become Taylor's home away from home, and she wants nothing more than to convince the Shaws to sell it to her. But Phoebe's return puts a crimp in those plans—and brings back old feelings she thought she'd overcome.
Of all the things Phoebe regrets, leaving Taylor is at the top of the list, but Taylor is determined to protect her heart. Yet the pull between them is stronger than ever. This time around, will love stay hidden . . . or finally see the light of day?
Contains mature themes.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a sweet and romantic story with heartwarming moments. The narrators did a great job of bringing the characters to life. However, some reviewers felt that the story was too simplistic and that the reunion between the high school sweethearts was rushed. Overall, the book is enjoyable and well-written.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was lovely, but simple. I felt that the two of my favorite narrators were wasted on the story.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I thoroughly enjoy Rachel Lacey’s writing. It is sweet, romantic and flowing. The narrators did a great job of bringing the characters to life.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was my second listen and I didn’t feel the love. Even though they had been high school lovers, the reunion seemed too rushed. The narrators were Abby Craden and Melissa Moran. I like Moran but she doesn’t project the emotions to be believable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a surprisingly good book. I didn’t know the author and picked it mostly because I like one of the narrators a lot. But it’s a sweet romantic story with some heartwarming puppy love in the mix.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Sweet story about reuniting high school sweethearts. The cover art makes it look more dramatic than it actually is. Two woman walking through nature would be more accurate.
