About this audiobook
How do you start a new chapter of your life when you haven’t closed the book on the previous one?
Eighteen months ago, Autumn Divac’s husband went missing. Her desperate search has yielded no answers, and she can’t imagine moving forward without him. But for the sake of their two teenage children, she has to try.
Autumn takes her kids home for the summer to the charming beachside town where she was raised. She seeks comfort working alongside her mother and aunt at their bookshop, only to learn that her daughter is facing a huge life change and her mother has been hiding a terrible secret for years. And when she runs into the boy who stole her heart in high school, old feelings start to bubble up again. Is she free to love him, or should she hold out hope for her husband’s return? She can only trust her heart…and hope it won’t lead her astray.
"A heart-tugging romance. Readers are sure to be sucked in.”—Publishers Weekly, starred review

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a good story with engaging characters. The ending, however, left some readers feeling let down and wanting more. Some parts of the story could have been left out to focus more on the main plot. Despite these flaws, readers still found the book enjoyable and a nice break from other genres.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a good book. Your not sure how it will end until.... At times we are given too much information and I intuitively said what the authors words were while she was saying them. Had to rewind at points to make sense of things because it goes from one point of view immediately to another without any signal or lead in at all, this occurred t many different points of a chapter.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I Really enjoyed this story. I was definitely pulled into the various characters and their life events. I was actually happy to hear how it ended. Amy McFadden is a superb narrator..... You feel like you are part of the characters and not someone just reading a story to you. Sidney:)
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another wonderful audiobook. On to the next one by same author!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a good story, but I agree with another review that says an epilog was needed! I felt very let down by the ending.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was an okay book, I think some parts could have been left out, for example the whole bit about Sierra's dad was not really that integral to the story. Time wasted on this character could have been used to tie up the ending a little better. At the end of the book I realized this was a harlequin romance which surprised me. I wish the story had been more about the bookstore and I would have liked to have seen a romance for Mary. I don't usually go for chic lit but this book was okay and I needed a break from all the suspense books I normally listen to.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Good story until last chapter where things ended at warp speed. Would of like to seen an epilog.
