- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The love story develops from two unexpected characters in their quest for their cause and what is right. The mystery and twists in plot kept me reading. The historical time period is one that brings many authors the "same" kind of plot----this one is not.I have noticed in several of her books, (this one included) the tendency for the heroine to rebell against her parents' wishes to do what is right. Enjoyed the book. Glad for the "thinking" book, that doesn't excessively whine about their problems, but moves through what must be done.
