Mic’d-up ref is fab!

I write to discuss how our sport may, for the enjoyment of its supporters, continue to learn from other sports. Having watched round one of the autumn Tests, I and thousands of spectators in the various stadiums revelled in the innovative copying of NFL-style referee announcements.

For those that didn’t witness this: in the NFL (American Football), a referee masquerading as a barcode announces their decision, and the events leading up to it, via the stadium’s PA system.
