CHOCOLATE DATE BABA CAKE WITH DRIPPY GLAZE

SERVES 8-10

PREP & COOK: 1 HOUR, 10 MINS

1½ cups chopped, pitted dates

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

100g butter, softened

¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 eggs, at room temperature

75g dark cooking chocolate, coarsely grated

1¼ cups self-raising flour

1 tblsp cocoa powder

DRIPPY GLAZE

125g dark cooking chocolate, finely chopped

2 tsps vegetable oil

1 Grease a 24cm baba pan.

Combine dates and 1½ cups
