SPECIAL TECHNIQUES

ALTERNATING CABLE CAST-ON

Make a slip knot and place it on the left needle. Insert the right needle into the slip knot knitwise, wrap the yarn around the needle and draw a loop. Place this loop onto the left needle by inserting the left needle through the loop from front to back.

1. Insert the right needle in between the first two stitches from front to back.

2. Wrap the yarn around the needle and draw a loop. Place this loop onto the left needle by inserting the left needle through the loop from front to back.

3. Insert the right needle in between the first two stitches from back to front.

4. Repeat Step 2.

5. Repeat Steps 1-4.
