REG Ryan's ‘65 Fastback is a car steeped in history with a story behind it like no other. It began back in August ‘65 in Gardena, California. That was when 23-year-old Ronald Way who had saved to buy the muscle car of his dreams, plonked down every last cent he owned and paid a whisker under US$3,000 for this ‘65 Mustang. The 2+2 Fastback was painted Dynasty Green with a black interior and featured the manual transmission, deluxe pony interior and Rally Pac options. Ronald picked it up from the Ford dealer in Gardena, went straight to his local speed shop and purchased and fitted a set of chrome wheels. Ronald drove his treasured Fastback for a year before joining the US military and embarked on his first tour to Vietnam in 1967. He did a second tour in 1970 before returning home
