10 DRILLS TO TRANSFORM YOUR SWIM PERFORMANCE

01 FINGERTIP DRAG

The purpose of this drill is to maintain good body position and balance during the recovery phase of your stroke. Swim with a high elbow recovery and ensure that you drag your fingertips forward in the water from water exit to entry. Keep your arm and hand relaxed during the recovery phase, which will naturally engage the powerful muscles of your shoulder and upper back, namely the trapezius, latissimus dorsi and rhomboid muscles.
