MATERIALS

• Premier Yarns Bamboo Select light (DK) weight rayon from bamboo/ extra fine merino (1¾ oz/106 yds/ 50g per ball):

12 [13, 14, 15, 16, 17] balls #1178-22 teal

• Sizes F/5/3.75mm and E/4/3.5mm crochet hooks or sizes needed to obtain gauge

• Stitch markers

• Tapestry needle

GAUGE

With size E hook for sizes small [large, 2X-large]: Block = 6 ¾inches; 4 V-sts = inches; 10 rnds = inches

With size F hook for sizes [medium, X-large, 3X-large]: Block = 6¾ inches; 4 V-sts = 3½ inches; 10 rnds = 5 inches Take time to check gauge.

PATTERN NOTES

Flowers center the blocks that create the base of the open stitchwork. Blocks are made first and assembled into a circle. The body is worked next, split for front and back, and seamed at the shoulders. Sleeves are worked directly into armhole openings. Bottom edging is worked last in opposite edge of assembled blocks.

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Chain-5 at beginning of round or row counts as first half double crochet, chain-3 unless otherwise stated.

Chain-4 at beginning of round or row counts as first double crochet, chain-1 unless otherwise stated.

Chain-3 at beginning of round or row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

Chain-6 at beginning of round or row counts as first double crochet, chain-3 unless otherwise stated.

Chain-2 at beginning of round or row counts as first half double crochet unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCHES

Beginning cluster (beg cl): Ch 3, [yo, insert hook in indicated st or sp, yo, draw Ip through, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] twice, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook.

Cluster (cl): [Yo, insert hook in indicated st or sp, yo, draw lp through, yo and draw through 2 lps on hook] 3 times, yo and draw through all 4 lps on hook.

Beginning shell (beg shell): (Beg cl—see Special Stitches, ch 3, cl) in same st or sp.

Shell: (Cl, ch 3, cl) in same sp or st.

Beginning V-stitch (beg V-st): (Ch 4–see Pattern Notes, dc) in same st or sp.

V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 1, dc) in same st or sp.

Chain-3 join (ch-3 join): Ch 1, drop lp, insert hook in center ch of indicated ch-3, pick up dropped lp and draw through, ch-1.

Chain-5 join (ch-5 join): Ch 2, drop Ip from hook, insert hook in center ch of indicated ch-5, pick up dropped Ip and draw through, ch-2.
