Full disclosure: I don’t do boats. I hate ’em. I get sea-sick on the Manly ferry on a calm day. I avoid boats at all costs. But I will make one exception to the rule and that’s to get to Tasmania. Why? Because the island state is home to some of the best ADV riding experiences you will have anywhere in Australia. It is simply amazing the sheer variety of riding, eye-popping scenery and endless cultural experiences Tassie packs into its 68,000 square kilometres.
Trust me, put Tasmania on your bucket list and just go and ride it. But if you need to be sold, let me see if I can get you pumped on the place in the next 1800 words or so?
