GROUND PANGOLIN

THEY might look every inch the reptile, but these unique creatures are actually mammals. Instead of fur, they’re the only mammal on the planet that’s covered in scales., a name taken from Greek and meaning “covered in scales”. The ground pangolin () – also known as Temminck’s pangolin, South African pangolin or Cape pangolin – is the only species of pangolin found in Southern and East Africa.
