IT’S Okay TO DFL

Never heard of a DFL? That’s okay, most of us haven’t. One year ago, I’d registered to get into the second ever Herdy’s Frontyard Ultra in Herdsman Lake, WA for this year. In 2021, I’d watched as a spectator to cheer on the runners and get a feel for the atmosphere of a backyard ultra. It was inspiring, to say the least (as cliché as it sounds), so as soon as entries opened up, there I was, in on the first round of entrants.
