the good place

It’s been two years since Nadine Lustre and I last talked. Back then, we were in a too-cold room in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for #MakingMEGA, the documentary series that follows the making of a MEGA cover. Now, we were in the familiar confines of a Zoom room, avatars staring at each other.

“A lot has happened since the last time we saw each other in Brazil,” she tells me with a rueful laugh.

Oddly enough, we picked up right where we left off. As if the chasm of the two-year gap and all the things that happened in between was easily bridged by this hour-long talk. We talked as though we were old comrades catching up by the fireside: relieved and breathing easy.
