WISDOM OF FAIRY TALES SLEEPING BEAUTY
Fairy tales belong to ancient human heritage. They are not tied to any particular country or people, so we find the same or similar themes everywhere. They are stories that have no relationship at all to earthly human history. Fairy tales tell nothing of past times, of historical events, of the deeds of notable personalities and about great destinies. They convey inner life experiences in simple allegories; the people in the fairy tale act as bearers of meaning and sense, while creative powers and forces are experienced realities. Here man is still vitally connected with all the weaving of nature and lives with the elementals, the nature beings, the great and small animistic beings in a harmonious uniform swinging. And the human being who does not respect the help of these beings suffers harm. In these fairy tales, the large and small beings are still correctly regarded as helpers, but not, as in later mythologies, as gods or evil spirits. It was only through the long chain of transmissions, through the alterations and embellishments made by various storytellers, that distortions and elements of fantasy have crept into the fabric of original fairy tale narratives so that the original knowledge of the great connections, (in accordance with the Laws of Creation), has been more and more obscured and overgrown to an ever greater extent.
