CARVING A DREAM CAREER WITH SOPHIE SELLU

After a long, hard day, there’s nothing better than coming home and unwinding with your favourite craft. For Sophie Sellu, woodwork was the key to letting the stresses of everyday life melt away. “I would come home after a tough day at work and I would make a spoon, really getting lost in the process, enjoying every moment of it. It was really therapeutic and I was just happy to be doing something enjoyable. I would carve pretty much every day,” she tells us.

Feeling stuck in a job she didn’t enjoy and with some basic knowledge of the tools and machines after studying woodwork at school, Sophie booked into some one-day workshops for fun, trying out a few different courses – and became hooked
