Oh, my. You’ve caught me at an awkward time. Let me explain… I’m a hermit crab. Most crabs grow a hard shell, or exoskeleton, all over. When they get bigger, they have to shed their old shell and grow a new one. That takes a lot of energy and time. But we hermit crabs have come up with a different way. We borrow mollusk shells instead!
