No shame

What a shame Allie Reynolds felt the need to validate her article The First Five Pages (WM, Feb) with the disclaimer that she was ‘no writing coach’. She then further validates it by saying she was ‘lucky’ her novel went to auction.

Imposter Syndrome is felt by so many women (I say women, because it is usually women who Imposter Syndrome inflicts the most) and it needs to stop. We need to be proud of our achievements and not apologise for them. Allie has a novel published with a highly reputable publisher (Headline) and is more than qualified to write an article imparting her words of wisdom.

Thank you for an interesting and informative article, Allie, but please don’t feel you’re not qualified to write it.
