could always do with more kindness in the world, and never more than now. So I adored our story on page 17 about the lovely teen who paid for a with me while Mum blew out her candles. I told them they were standing in for my family in Melbourne and Thailand and Mum’s grandchildren who couldn’t be here. They smiled and said they were happy to be part of Mum’s day and went on their way. People are so kind.’ They are indeed.
