One of the most satisfying aspects of growing bonsai is that of propagating bonsai from cuttings. This process is also known as cloning, and although it is used extensively for crop propagation it is also very effective for bonsai.

Essentially the process is a fairly simple one: cut a small branch off a parent tree, plant it in soil and in a few months it will have developed roots. Voila – another small tree!
