It’s been one of the breakout successes of British fantasy fiction in recent years, but the Rotherweird series isn’t the work of a young gun. Rather, its creator, Andrew Caldecott, is a barrister who, by his own estimation, turned to novels because in a parallel career as a playwright he’d had “a slight run of failure” and needed to try something new.
And so he created Rotherweird, a place that exists somewhere off to the side of the rest of England, and where eldritch secrets reside..
