Cabe señalar que Nike sí mismo no hace ninguna de zapatos. técnicamente hablando, Nike subcontrata su fabricación de calzado responsabilidades a las fábricas de calzado independientes en el Sudeste Asiático. Over the past ten years, 'The Girl Effect'–the discourse and practice of investing in third world girls' education—has ascended to the top of the international development agenda as the 'highest return investment strategy' to end poverty. This paper interrogates the trend by investigating the genealogy of 'The Girl Effect' as The Nike Foundation's flagship corporate social responsibility campaign and the theory of change it is based on. A literature analysis of The Nike Foundation's most recent intervention projects— " The Girl Effect Accelerator " and 'Girl Hub' pilot projects in Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Rwanda—will elucidate the underlying investment logic and serve as a representative sample of the broader emerging practice. While claiming to advance " gender equality " and " women's empowerment " , I argue that The Girl Effect accomplishes the opposite by reinforcing gender inequity on both the micro and macro levels. Feminist grammars are instrumentalized as window dressing to exploit third world females as prospective (1) debtors in the expansion of credit markets, (2) exploits in the expansion of consumer markets, and (3) the 'untapped resource' for cheap labor. An epochal look at second wave feminism will show how 'The Girl Effect Paradigm' is a second wave of neoliberal exploitation—a parallel of its first female-led development era (1980s-1990s). This paper warns that as this phenomenon grows in hegemony it is insidiously displacing feminism as a political project and neutralizing the need for a truly transformational agenda. Without a counterbalance of vigilant public scrutiny and debate, we risk letting it crystallize Western-patriarchal-capitalism even more deeply in an unyielding global glass ceiling.

Adidas and Nike currently control 74% of the global football market, a prime example of duopoly. Their share is predicted to increase; consequently, it is crucially important for consumers to assess whether such a duopolistic setting is beneficial for them. In particular, London hosts the greatest number of footballers in the UK, and is a key playing field for the two firms. Thus, this essay investigates: ‘to what extent is a duopoly in the football industry in London beneficial to consumers?’

Firstly, the paper assesses how price in duopoly would change if we transitioned from duopoly, to monopolistic competition. The aim was to assess consumers’ monetary welfare. Secondly, it explores how the market structure influences quality. It uses research from world leading economists to argue that a duopolistic market leads to the highest R&D industry-wide. Thirdly, it analyses a 203-responses survey, which was conducted at football clubs in London to understand how much customers were willing to spend for a given level of R&D. The aim was to see whether a duopoly would have been consistent with their desired combination of price and quality. That way, we could judge whether deviating from duopoly would have benefited them. This analysis was complemented by an interview with a high-profile executive at Adidas.

The investigation finds that monopolistic competition would be more beneficial than duopoly in terms of price, as these would fall with more competition. However, it also reveals that duopoly is more beneficial than any other type of market structure in terms of quality, because of the higher amount of R&D. The analysis of consumer preferences ultimately proves that customers find the duopoly to be the most beneficial type of market structure in the football industry in London.

The study of the quality of services results arises from the difference between the services provided and quality services. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the dimensions of service quality from the customer perspective in Iranian foreign sports brands based on Saruman. The research method is correlation and it was practical purpose. The population of this research is international sports brands to customers that their number was not specified and researcher on the basis of samples available for each of 60 brands selected a total sample of 320 people. Instrument, the questionnaire was Saruman service quality dimensions that internal reliability of the study.
Statistical methods included descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (KS, Pearson, Friedman ranking and stepwise regression). The results showed that: there is a significant relationship between five dimensions of quality of services provided. Minimum and maximum gap of five foreign sports brands (Adidas, Puma, Nike, Reebok and Fila) was obtained. The customer service was ranked first, component reliability indicated the rating results in optimal service quality, and empathy was ranked first. Finally, the two operating reliability and guaranteed in international sports brands have been able to have the highest estimated and the nature of the other three is a non-issue.

Επί-σης το 217 π.Χ. η Ναύπακτος γίνεται ξανά κέντρο πανελληνίου ενδιαφέροντος εξαι-τίας του συνεδρίου μεταξύ της Αιτωλικής Συμπολιτείας από τη μια και του Φιλίππου Ε' της Μακεδονίας, της Αχαϊκής Συμπολι-τείας και της Μεσσήνης από την άλλη, προ-κειμένου να τερματίσουν τον Συμμαχικό Πόλεμο. The multivarious arrangement of mosaic floor pavements in Greek and Roman houses provides us today with clues as to the presumed function of the rooms they decorated. This is something that Pierre Gros recently evoked in his L'architecture romaine, his excellent synthesis of Roman architecture published in Paris in 2001 by Picard. The architectural layout and decoration, especially the mosaic floors, of the given rooms in the House of Leukaktios in Ptolemais have lent support to this idea, contributing to an understanding of specific purpose and function, which can be deemed as very likely.

Coinage of Adana has been well-documented in many publications and catalogs. However, it is not surprising to come across a new specimen every now and then. The bronze autonomous coin from the Tahberer collection that will be examined here is unpublished in major references and it deserves particular attention, which will enhance our understanding of the autonomous coinage of Adana.

Dzięki różnorodnej aranżacji dekoracji mozaikowej posadzek pomieszczeń domów greckich i rzymskich jesteśmy dziś w stanie z dużym prawdopodobieństwem określić funkcję pomieszczeń, o czym przypomniał ostatnio Pierre Gros (L'architecture romaine, wyd. A. et J. Picard, Paryż 2001) w najlepszej dotychczas syntezie architektury rzymskiej wydanej przed ośmiu laty we Francji. Dzięki układowi architektonicznemu poszczególnych pomieszczeń i ich dekoracji, w szczególności mozaikowej, udało się z dużym również prawdopodobieństwem ustalić ich funkcję i przeznaczenie jakie posiadały w "Domu Leukaktiosa". Nie jest zaskoczeniem, że przedsionek do którego wchodziło się od ulicy i który prowadził do prywatnego małego balneum (pomieszczenie typu łaźnia; wcześniej pomieszczenie to interpretowane było jako kuchnia) oraz do małego dziedzińca z którego z kolei wchodziło się do małej sali recepcyjnej i na duży dziedziniec pokrywała geometryczna mozaika czarno-biała. Podobną sytuację mamy na małym dziedzińcu. Charakter tej dekoracji jest skromny. I również podobny charakter ma dekoracja posadzkowa drugiego dziedzińca, o powierzchni ok. 85 m2. To tak zwane atrium tetrastylowe (czterokolumnowe), rzeczywiste serce "Domu Leukaktiosa", składało się z wewnętrznego niezadaszonego basenu (impluvium) otoczonego z czterech stron zadaszonymi portykami; całość była zdobiona mozaikami geometrycznymi czarno białymi o stopień bogatszymi niż poprzednich sal. Atrium zaopatrywało budynek w wodę deszczową, ale było również źródłem światła i świeżego powietrza dla mieszkańców domu. Portyki prowadziły do większości pomieszczeń na parterze, a na piętro prowadziły schody."

This report is an effort to present a clear picture of Corporate Social Responsibility strategies and solutions to a myriad of problems related to CSR. The report starts with an introduction to the topic coined by a highly researched literature review and is galloping onto CSR problems in the chosen company i.e. NIKE. The company is also introduced with latest statistics and current mission and vision to get a clear perspective of the company profile.
The problems are discussed at length followed by a plethora of solution steps taken by Nike to solve or at least present a solution to the problems. The next portion is of recommendations to NIKE as to what it can or should do to be a champion of corporate social responsibility.

Sono così individuati e approfonditi i miti e le varianti presenti nelle fonti antiche, gli attributi e gli schemi iconografici, attraverso lo studio di reperti esemplificativi della produzione artistica dal VI secolo a.C. all’età imperiale, gli aspetti rituali del culto e i luoghi consacrati alla dea.

The technology based self service banking (TBSSB) refers to automated banking services that customer avail without interaction with bank employees. This paper investigates the relationship between dimensions of TBSSB service quality, customer satisfaction and loyalty. The paper also examines the mediating role of customer satisfaction in the relationship. The dimensions are identified and confirmed by conducting EFA and CFA respectively using SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 20.0. Dimensions of TBSSB SQ are identified as Convenience, Reliability & Security, Responsiveness and Personalization. AMOS 20.0 is used to investigate the relationship between dimensions using SEM. It is found that Convenience and personalization have significant effect on customer satisfaction, and personalization and customer satisfaction have significant effect on loyalty. Sumber daya fisik merupakan sumber daya yang menyangkut penunjang secara fisik berdirinya suatu perusahaan seperti alat alat kelengkapannya. Pendekatannya Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia yaitu dilakukan dengan pendekatan mekanis, pendekatan paternalisme, dan, pendekatan system social. Tahap pelaksanaannya yaitu recruitment (pengadaan), maintenance (pemeliharaan), dan development (pengembangan). Fungsi adanya MSDM yaitu perencanaan tenaga kerja, pengembangan tenaga kerja, penilaian prestasi kerja, pemberian kompensasi, pemeliharaan tenaga kerja, dan pemberhentian.
Urgensi adanya MSDM yaitu karena MSDM berarti mengatur, mengurus SDM berdasarkan visi perusahaan agar tujuan organisasi dapat dicapai secara optimum, staffing dan personalia dalam organisasi, meningkatkan kinerja, mengembangkan budaya korporasi yang mendukung penerapan inovasi dan fleksibilitas.
Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia atau MSDM (Human Resources Management) adalah bagian dari fungsi manajemen. Jikalau manajemen menitik beratkan „bagaimana mencapai tujuan bersama dengan orang lain‟, maka MSDM memfokuskan pada “orang” baik sebagai subyek atau pelaku dan sekaligus sebagai obyek dari pelaku. Jadi bagaimana mengelola orang - orang dalam organisasi yang direncanakan (planning), diorganisasikan (organizing), dilaksanakan (directing) dan dikendalikan (controlling) agar tujuan yang dicapai organisasi dapat diperoleh hasil yang seoptimal mungkin, efisien dan efektif.
Hal yang menarik lagi manusia sebagai makhluk yang unik dibandingkan dengan makhluk lain di dunia ini karena memiliki keinginan individual, keinginan kelompok atau keinginan dalam kelompok - kelompok dalam wujud yang lebih besar (organisasi) melakukan interaksi dan kerjasama yang melahirkan berbagai fenomena yang menarik untuk dikaji dan dipelajari dalam sumber daya manusia. Jadi, wajar bahwa MSDM merupakan manajemen inti yang menggerakkan organisasi sehingga suatu wadah organisasi baik yang berorientasi laba (profit organization) maupun organisasi yang berorientasi nirlaba (non - profit organization) menjadi „hidup” dan dinamis sesuai karakter manusianya sehingga organisasi tetap eksis dan memiliki kinerja yang dapat dinikmati oleh anggota - anggota dalam organisasi itu maupun memberi manfaat bagi masyarakat di sekitarnya.

The author analyses the discourse around the ILO's decent work agenda with reference to labour-related campaigns and trade union struggles in Indonesia. His theoretical approach is based on the semiotic materialism developed by Ngai-Ling Sum and Bob Jessop, and more specifically on their concept of " economic imaginaries ". Since almost half of the book is devoted to the theoretical framework, I will first address theoretical issues, and then move on to Hauf's case study. The cultural political economy (CPE) of Sum and Jessop aims to integrate semiotic and discursive aspects of reality into a material-structuralist account without collapsing into a radical constructivism assuming that there is no outside of discursive processes. Economic imaginaries such as the semiotic aspects of accumulation projects are seen as necessary precursors of successful accumulation and, if the accumulation projects take off, as their political justification. There are two aspects to this approach to CPE that seem problematic. First, ideology is replaced with semiosis in the account of Sum and Jessop, and this is not explicitly addressed by Hauf. This substitution of terms creates conceptual problems that remain unaccounted for: Whereas the concept of ideology, particularly in an Althusserian vein, shows how acts of signification are integrated into practices of apparatuses, semiosis once again separates language and meaning from the so-called objective and institutional realm. Compared with an Althusserian conception of ideology, the CPE of Sum and Jessop seems to be a more descriptive-analytical approach – even if they concede that " the 'imaginary' refers not only to semiosis but also to its structural supports " (cited in Hauf, p. 60). It is striking that Hauf's definition of economic imaginaries resembles Louis Althusser's concept of ideology: Lived experience of the real is shaped by an imaginary relation to it that reduces complexity and makes it calculable. The two moments of complexity reduction translate 'the actually existing economy' (the chaotic sum of all activities) into an 'imagined economy' " (p. 38). Hence, the question is whether or not Althusser's emphasis on the material character of ideology actually represents a more radical rupture with the dualism of 'structure' and 'ideas', highlighting the materiality and structuredness of language and signification, and thus the material existence of ideology in institutional apparatuses. While the first problem may be due more to the overall approach of Sum and Jessop, the second stems at least in part from Hauf's interpretation of their approach. According to him, CPE
