This multiple case study aimed to explore and determine the viewpoints of teachers on ChatGPT use among students. To gain a comprehensive understanding of teachers' perspectives, experiences, and attitudes regarding the incorporation of ChatGPT, an advanced natural language processing model, in the learning environments of their students. Using purposive sampling and inclusion criteria, the participating nine (9) teachers were identified. All of them participated in the in-depth interviews. Results revealed the viewpoints of the participants: absence of academic integrity, potential consequence of promoting students' laziness, contrast between traditional method and modern method of learning, may results to declining of critical thinking skills, and viewing ChatGPT as a supplementary tool. Upon reflecting to their viewpoints, they arrived at the following insights: providing performance-based activities and being responsible in using artificial intelligence. The results of this study were deemed significant by the participants, teachers, students, and researchers.

ChatGPT is an AI tool that has sparked debates about its potential implications for education. We used the SWOT analysis framework to outline ChatGPT's strengths and weaknesses and to discuss its opportunities for and threats to education. The strengths include using a sophisticated natural language model to generate plausible answers, self-improving capability, and providing personalised and real-time responses. As such, ChatGPT can increase access to information, facilitate personalised and complex learning, and decrease teaching workload, thereby making key processes and tasks more efficient. The weaknesses are a lack of deep understanding, difficulty in evaluating the quality of responses, a risk of bias and discrimination, and a lack of higher-order thinking skills. Threats to education include a lack of understanding of the context, threatening academic integrity, perpetuating discrimination in education, democratising plagiarism, and declining high-order cognitive skills. We provide agenda for educational practice and research in times of ChatGPT.

This study investigated Arab postgraduate students’ uses of ChatGPT in their higher studies in India with a special reference to academic writing being a requirement of academic research activities. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 40 Arab postgraduates attending five universities in Kerala. Findings show that the participants perceived benefits of ChatGPT and effects on their academic writing, language competency, and achievement. It significantly impacts their productivity. However, not all Arab students utilize all the benefits of the tool for some reasons including lack of familiarity with the incipient ChatGPT. Based on the findings, the study provides some important recommendation for utilizing this chatbot in a way that increase their abilities in using technology in their studies to save time and efforts as well as familiarize them with sensitive issues of honesty and plagiarism. The study may be useful to some other participants engaged with academic writing in...

The introduction of artificial intelligence in the field of education has resulted from the use of information and communication technologies as a tool for improving teaching and learning. Expert systems and machine intelligence have the potential to revolutionize education by providing personalized learning experiences, automating repetitive tasks, and allowing teachers to focus on more important tasks such as providing one-on-one attention to students. It is utilized in a range of educational applications, including adaptive learning systems that may change the complexity of content depending on a student's performance. This paper reviews literature on the educational implications of artificial intelligence. By evaluating some of ChatGPT's capabilities, the study evaluates the possibilities and limitations of OpenAI's ChatGPT for teaching, learning, and research. The results indicated that ChatGPT delivers rapid and instantaneous response to search queries, as well as automatic text production that resembles conversation response. The article also highlighted some of the difficulties experienced, such as a lack of citation and reference. The researcher suggested recommendations such as ensuring to credit and reference the replies supplied by ChatGPT.
The aim of this study is to reveal students' thoughts on the use of ChatGPT in education. Therefore, the study was designed and conducted according to a qualitative research method. Data was collected through semistructured interviews. The study group of the research consisted of voluntary students from one of the 4th grade classes of a public school in Türkiye. An interview form was developed and used as the data collection tool. The obtained data was analyzed using the content analysis method. Based on the results, it was observed that the students found the use of ChatGPT in teaching to be engaging and enjoyable. Moreover, incorporating artificial intelligence in teaching was found to promote academic achievement and offer a greater amount of information compared to conventional printed resources such as textbooks. Additionally, ChatGPT was perceived to provide accurate, prompt, and clear responses to queries posed by students. The students expressed their recommendation to use ChatGPT in studying other subjects like social studies, mathematics, and Turkish, as it is a valuable tool for enhancing academic success and expanding access to information.

Introduction: This study explores the effects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbots, with a particular focus on OpenAI's ChatGPT, on Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). With the rapid advancement of AI, understanding its implications in the educational sector becomes paramount. Methods: Utilizing databases like PubMed, IEEE Xplore, and Google Scholar, we systematically searched for literature on AI chatbots' impact on HEIs. Our criteria prioritized peer-reviewed articles, prominent media outlets, and English publications, excluding tangential AI chatbot mentions. After selection, data extraction focused on authors, study design, and primary findings. The analysis combined descriptive and thematic approaches, emphasizing patterns and applications of AI chatbots in HEIs. Results: The literature review revealed diverse perspectives on ChatGPT's potential in education. Notable benefits include research support, automated grading, and enhanced human-computer interaction. However, concerns such as online testing security, plagiarism, and broader societal and economic impacts like job displacement, the digital literacy gap, and AI-induced anxiety were identified. The study also underscored the transformative architecture of ChatGPT and its versatile applications in the educational sector. Furthermore, potential advantages like streamlined enrollment, improved student services, teaching enhancements, research aid, and increased student retention were highlighted. Conversely, risks such as privacy breaches, misuse, bias, misinformation, decreased human interaction, and accessibility issues were identified. Discussion: While AI's global expansion is undeniable, there is a pressing need for balanced regulation in its application within HEIs. Faculty members are encouraged to utilize AI tools like ChatGPT proactively and ethically to mitigate risks, especially academic fraud. Despite the study's limitations, including an incomplete representation of AI's overall effect on education and the absence of concrete integration guidelines, it is evident that AI technologies like ChatGPT present both significant benefits and risks. The study advocates for a thoughtful and responsible integration of such technologies within HEIs.
