Evaporation flux from wall surfaces can be estimated quantitatively by measuring the temperature which depends in a sensitive way on the evaporation rate.' When the equilibrium condition is reached the temperature of surfaces where evaporation takes place is in fact directly correlated to the evaporation rate and it depends on several concomitant heat exchange processes. On the other hand starting from non-equilibrium initial condition the "dynamic" measurement of wall surface temperature as a function of time allows the evaluation of water content in the surface layers. In the Archaeometry laboratory of "lstituto di Fisica Generale Applicata" we performed some experiments on several plaster samples among the ones most traditionally used. We employed a climatic room where environmental parameters (temperature, RH, ventilation and irradiation) are controlled and cooling effects due to evaporation are investigated by thermography both in steady and unsteady condjtions.

This paper developed a mobile APP called Health Emergency Request APP (HER-APP). The App sends out-patients' emergency request to any closest health personnel within a particular location and matches a patient to a particular health personnel for immediate attention. We observed that the process of responding to out-of-hospital emergencies after a crisis have faced a lot of communication challenges between patients and the nearest healthcare personnel especially in Nigeria. There is also a problem of assigning a patient to the most qualified health personal for better care. This has resulted in increased mortality even when such emergency could better be handled. It becomes compelling to develop a mobile APP that allows a seamless communication between patient under emergency and the nearest medical expert with medical facility to save lives prior to the full engagement of the attention of a medical doctor or ambulance. This emergency request service-oriented mobile application helps patients contact any closest health personnel within a particular location using a location tracking service. The mobile application implements a matching algorithm between patients and responders, and assists people in emergency to get quick pre-clinical treatment. It uses an optimized service-oriented architecture which reduces the communication process between a patient in an emergency and the doctor or responder using a Google global positioning system as a location tracking service to helps track a patient requesting for assistance as well as all available responders. The APP uses location factor to determine a model to enhance the system on a large scale basis to provide a dispatch method to allocate patients to responders. This paper enhanced the Hungarian model and determines the best patient-responder match. The mobile APP is available at www.github.com/magnifikuc.

Katja Krause and Richard C. Taylor (eds.), Albert the Great and His Arabic Sources: Medieval Science between Inheritance and Emergence, PATMA series, Brepols
The exact ways in which Albert followed the lead of his Arabic sources as he adopted and reworked the natural philosophical insights they offered for each particular doctrine has been an ongoing concern in the literature. In most cases, the question has been approached from the perspective of a reception history, ask ing predominantly whether and how far Albert remained truthful to the original teachings contained in his sources. 1 In this chapter, I wish to complement that approach with a different one that underscores Albert's own expressed purposes and the ways he pursues them in the specifics of his natural philosophy. Keeping in mind Albert's own presentation of evidence, definitions, and explanationshis 'intellectual practices', to cite Lorraine Daston, 2 or 'scientific practices' to use a more common term-my aim is to investigate when Albert incorporated 1 There are many very fine studies on Albert's appropriation of Arabic thought, with a particular emphasis on the Physics and Metaphysics. Among the most important recent ones are Bertolacci,
