It is critical to administer timely medication to the elderly. The automatic medicine dispenser is made for people who take drugs without the supervision of a doctor. It frees the user from the risky chore of giving the wrong medicine at the wrong time. A NodeMCU ESP8266 (1 no),CD Drivers (4 no),12V DC Relay (6 no), BC 547,Transistor (6 no),Resistor 1 K ohm (6 no),1n4007 diode (6),Dot board,12V 2.5 amp adaptor are the main components of this pharmaceutical dispenser (1 no). For use in construction, foam plastic is used. The general purpose is to make it easier for the user to specify the timings for dispensing multiple pills at specific times. In developing countries, caring for the elderly is a major concern. Family members are in charge of the elderly's care and management. It is difficult for family members to be available all of the time to help the elderly in today's world. In today's society, the majority of families are nuclear. Although the elderly wish to be self-sufficient, their desire for independence is understandable, it is a source of concern for their children. Despite their greatest efforts, the elderly sometimes forget to take their prescription on time. One method for assisting them in taking their medications effectively is to use an automatic medication dispenser. As the expense of in-home medical care rises, it has become increasingly important for people to choose a device that can efficiently manage their drugs. The purpose is served by the automatic drug dispenser. The main goal is to keep the gadget simple and inexpensive. The software that is being used is dependable and stable. The elderly can benefit from this gadget since it eliminates the need for costly in-home medical care.

Automatic medication dispenser is designed specifically for users who take medications without close professional supervision. It relieves the user of the error-prone tasks of administering wrong medicine at wrong time. The major components of this medication dispenser are a microcontroller interfaced with an alphanumeric keypad, an LED display, a Motor Controller, an Alarm system, a multiple pill container and dispenser. The overall operation is to facilitate the user to set the timings to dispense multiple pills at required timings. The Alarm system is designed to provide two types of indications-one by lighting an LED and the other by providing a beep sound. The user is required to press a button to get the pill and reset the alarm button. The second alarm is to indicate the optimal availability of the pills in the container to warn the user to refill the dispenser with the required quantity of pills. The major objective is to keep the device simple and cost efficient. The software used is reliable and stable. Elderly population can benefit from this device as it avoids expensive in-home medical care.
To take the medicine at the age in time. The smart medication reminder is designed specially for users who take medicine without any help. It avoids to take wrong medicine at wrong time. It is also useful for blind people. The components required for designe of smart medication reminder are raspberry pi zero W (core type-ARM1176JZF-S) interface with LCD16x4, buzzer, led, alarm module (DS3231), multiple pill container and stepper motor. Firstly switch on the kit and the device get asked to set the time for alarm and similarly set for the next alarm putting the pill into pill box and it get close. As the user set the time for alarm the buzzer gives the sound and also blinking the led present in the pill box separately.

To design or study the idea of paper present of the architecture and implementation of an automatics medication dispenser for user who take medication at regularly and an interval of time. By relieving the user from the error-prone tasks of interpreting medication direction and administrating medication accordingly, this device improves the rigor in compliance and prevent serious medication error. If we keep a note of each and every medication and start taking it will be sometime be difficult to look for the medication and have it. But by taking advantage of scheduling flexibility provided by medication direction, the device makes the user’s medication schedule easy to adhere and tolerant to tardiness whenever possible. The medication scheduler and dispenser controller do this work collaboratively in an action-oriented manner. An advantage of the design is that new function can be added and existing ones removed or revised with little or no need to modify the dispenser control struc...
Medication dispensing is an important activity that can have major implications if done improperly. Dispensing must be done in the correct time interval, at the correct user, with the correct drug and dose. We propose a smart medication dispenser that can satisfy these needs and provide a mechanism for supervision. In order to ensure that the dispensing process is error free, the concept of a new smart medication container is used. A smart medication container is "smart" as it holds the medication dispensing parameters for the drugs it contains: dispensing time and date and name. Based on this information, the actual dispensing is done.

Medication plays an essential role in people's daily lives. Individuals often experience headaches, pains, upset stomach, fever, and common colds, among other ailments. Factors such as long working hours, limited relaxation, extreme weather changes, and irregular sleeping and eating patterns can contribute to illness and disease. Medications are necessary to alleviate symptoms or even prevent them. Additionally, many people take vitamins and mineral supplements to meet their nutritional needs when their diets fall short. Typically, over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and vitamin supplements can be readily purchased at pharmacies without needing a doctor's prescription. Automatic Pill Dispensers for Pharmacies have been designed and built specifically to streamline the process of dispensing these OTC medications and supplements. Pharmacies often face long queues, and automatic pill dispensers offer a time-saving solution by quickly dispensing medicines and supplements, much like a typical vending machine. The prototype hardware was designed using cost-effective materials and components, with a particular focus on the dispensing mechanism. Control is facilitated through an Arduino Mega microcontroller, and payment can be made through a coin validator/acceptor, simplifying the purchasing process for both pharmacists and customers. A notable advantage of this system is its modular design, allowing for the replacement of custom-designed dispensing discs to accommodate different types of pills. Experimental results were obtained by conducting tests on various aspects, including servo motor performance, dispensing accuracy, serial vs. parallel processing, and the comparison between manual dispensing and an automatic dispensing system. The automatic pill dispenser not only extends the service hours of the pharmacy by serving as a self-access kiosk but also achieves performance comparable to existing research in the field.

Recent literature reports on high adverse events rate, especially among elderly people, due to bad self-administration of their drug therapy. They make errors taking wrong drugs, or taking drugs with incorrect dosage and frequency. These "therapy errors", in the USA, cause about 3,000,000 hospital admissions each year. Within the medical informatics community, different research groups are developing computerbased support systems addressing this problem. This paper presents a novel approach in this area, and describes a device to make home drug therapy as safe as possible. The system designed took into account the whole process, starting from drug prescription by the general practitioner, to the drug acquisition to the chemist and, finally, to drug assumption at home.

In a world where technology has bridged the gap between people communicating to reducing human efforts and improving efficiency, the problem that major hospitals & pharmacies face is i.e. lack of staff & resources. As per the survey conducted by LANCET[1], India faces a significant shortage in medical staff which leads to patients being unattended for several hours. This problem can be solved if the tasks per staff member is reduced and one such way is by reducing their repetitive movement from the patient's room to the pharmacy for giving the medicines to the patient. This effort can be reduced by creating a remotely located machine which can be placed at the right place to dispense medicines automatically. This reduces the extra movements and hence provides them the time to do tasks that are of more importance. Although the concept of an automated medicine dispensing unit is not new, it is something that if built and implemented, can provide aid to patients in developing count...
