Cell Phones in the Classroom: Everyday Uses and Research Support

Cell Phones in the Classroom: Everyday Uses and Research Support

Annaliese Piraino
Abstract
Cell phones in the classroom can not only help increase student interest, but also can help you to incorporate in-class research and other active and cooperative learning methodologies. This hands-on workshop will quickly review in-class cell phone basics (e.g. polling and communication possibilities), and then introduce practical research-based tools and citation applications. Our intent is to help you increase student use of academic literature, as well as corresponding referencing guidelines. Don’t forget to bring your cell phone!
