Conclusions

We had aimed at analyzing the interrelationship between water and poverty through a multi disciplinary approach. In the process we realized that papers by the contributing authors have many important messages for policy makers and prescriptions for decision makers and grass root implementers. These are being outlined in the following paragraphs and we strongly urge governments, professionals in the water sector, civil society organizations and scholars to work towards their adoption to facilitate judicious water resources management with the ultimate aim of reducing abject poverty conditions in developing world.
