This research was focused on the study of visual exposure evolution in the locality of the Drátenická skála nature monument (in the Czech Republic) and the surrounding forest complex in terms of history and through modelling for further possible stand development. The local forests underwent conversion from a natural fir-beech composition to an intensive spruce monoculture with few insect pests or windbreak events to an actual bark beetle infestation. Historic maps, landscape paintings, photographs, and orthophotos served as the basic materials for the illustration of the past situation. Further development was modelled using canopy height models and spectral properties captured by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During inter-eruption periods, magma pressurization yields subtle changes of the elastic properties of volcanic edifices. We use the reproducibility properties of the ambient seismic noise recorded on the Piton de la Fournaise volcano to measure relative seismic velocity variations of less than 0.1 % with a temporal resolution of one day. Our results show that five studied volcanic eruptions were preceded by clearly detectable seismic velocity decreases within the zone of magma injection. These precursors reflect the edifice dilatation induced by magma pressurization and can be useful indicators to improve the forecasting of volcanic eruptions.

IKKα and IKKβ, catalytic subunits of IκB kinase (IKK) complex are involved in activation of NF-κB and in mediating a variety of other biological functions. Though these proteins have a high sequence homology, IKKα exhibits different functional characteristics as compared to IKKβ. Earlier, we have demonstrated that cyclin D1 is over-expressed and predominantly localized in the nucleus of IKKα −/− cells, indicating that IKKα regulates turnover and sub-cellular distribution of cyclin D1, which is mediated by IKKα-induced phosphorylation of cyclin D1. Since cyclin D nuclear localization is implicated in tumor development, we examined whether the absence of IKKα leads to tumor development as well. In the current study, we demonstrate that IKKα plays a critical role in tumorigenesis. Though IKKα −/− MEF cells demonstrate a slower anchoragedependent growth, they are clonogenic in soft agar. These cells are tumorigenic in nude mice. Microarray analysis of IKKα −/− cells indicates a differential expression of genes involved in proliferation and apoptosis. Further, analysis of microarray data of human lung cancer cell lines revealed decreased IKKα RNA expression level as compared to cell lines derived from normal bronchial epithelium. These results suggest that IKKα may function as a tumor suppressor gene. Absence of IKKα may induce tumorigenicity by nuclear localization of cyclin D1 and modulating the expression of genes involved in neoplastic transformation.

Several studies have explored associations between measures of adult attachment style and the Big Five personality traits or factors, but the studies have not included current dimensional measures of attachment style or the most complete (NEO-PI-R; Costa & McCrae, 1992) and frequently used (BFI; John, Donahue, & Kentle, 1991) measures of the Big Five. Moreover, most studies after Shaver and Brennan's (1992) have not compared attachment style and Big Five measures as predictors of relationship quality. Here, we summarize past research and report two studies comparing Brennan et al.'s two-dimensional measure of attachment style with the BFI and NEO-PI-R measures of the Big Five.

In this project we tend to describe our integrated design in a way forward to deal with the demographic deficit and also achieve the goals of inclusive growth. It is replicable and can be used to design and develop villages in other parts of the World. India being a rural-dominated country, the smartness conception isn't even considered the rural areas. All square measure's that don't seem to be classified as geographic area are thought-about as geographical region. Number of villages in India are approximately 6,38,588. According to 2011 census, village area has population of 68.84%, whereas city area has population of 31.16% only. In the Indian context, villages are the lifeline of the nation. Hence, for the development of the country the targeted should lean to the grass root level, which suggests that the main focus areas ought to be the Indian village. There is a huge amount flit of the people from villages to city or town, there are many villages in India with spirited population. So the main aim to develop the villages by offering basic and needful amenities, education, employment generation activities, modern technology etc. The aim of Mahatma Gandhi is "The best, fastest way is to build up and started from the foundation. Every village has to become a selfsufficient. This does not require manful solution. It requires assertive, supportive, intelligent work. The idea of smart village in the present day is more important to being stable in comparison with other developed country. A village having smart and active participation of people in various activities need to developed village as smart city. A smart village will not only bring only big infrastructure, Internet connection, smart transportation to the rural lands, but will also provide support to sustainable agricultural practices.

We have developed a sophisticated mesh infrastructure capability to support large scale multiphysics simulations such as subsurface flow and reactive contaminant transport at storage sites as well as the analysis of the effects of a warming climate on the terrestrial arctic. These simulations involve a wide range of coupled processes including overland flow, subsurface flow, freezing and thawing of ice rich soil, accumulation, redistribution and melting of snow, biogeochemical processes involving plant matter and finally, microtopography evolution due to melting and degradation of ice wedges below the surface. In addition to supporting the usual topological and geometric queries about the mesh, the mesh infrastructure adds capabilities such as identifying columnar structures in the mesh, enabling deforming of the mesh subject to constraints and enabling the simultaneous use of meshes of different dimensionality for subsurface and surface processes. The generic mesh interface is capable of using three different open source mesh frameworks (MSTK, MOAB and STKmesh) under the hood allowing the developers to directly compare them and choose one that is best suited for the application's needs. We demonstrate the results of some simulations using these capabilities as well as present a comparison of the performance of the different mesh frameworks.
