In the paper it is presented the mathematical model of the useful movement of the high-speed trains. On the mathematical model basis it is built the structural diagram associated of the useful movement. The obtained structural scheme can be easily implemented in SIMULINK. An immediately example of the utilization of the useful movement model it constitutes the drawing of the movement diagrams, which it illustrates the dynamics aspect of the useful movement. Like application, by means of the SIMULINK model they are traced, on the basis of the traction and braking characteristics and of the imposed conditions of the route, the movement diagram of the high-speed train.

The equation of the combined motion of a Shinkansen train (bullet train), rail, and the railway structure is described, and an efficient numerical method to solve the combined response is discussed. Mechanical models for the train with as many as 16 vehicles connected and for the interaction between wheel and rail are described. A computer program for the simulation of a Shinkansen train running on the railway structure at high speed has been developed. A visualization program, VIS, for the animation of dynamic motion of the train and railway structure has been developed. Numerical examples are demonstrated.
− − − − On the mathematical basis and respectively on the structural diagrams of the control of voltagesource inverter fed traction induction motor used in high speed trains, in paper they are presented a SIMULINK library which they permit the working study through simulation. They are described the models associated of those two control types used in the high speed trains: the vector control and Direct Self Control. By means of SIMULINK models, in paper, they are simulated different workings of considered systems.
This paper studies the modeling theories and simulation methods for railway transportation system. The railway transportation system is a typical temporal-spatial dynamic system. Recently the method with temporal-spatial computation characteristics, Cellular Automata, is often used for road traffic flow research, but it's homogeneity restricting make it impossible to modeling railway transportation system, for the objects can not be divided into cells with same size and same transformation rule in railway transportation system. Based on the research on railway transportation system's characteristics and Cellular Automata Theory, the Entity Automata model is put forward. Entity Automata divided the objects in railway transportation system into several classes and every class entity has it own characteristics and transformation rule. It inherits the temporal-spatial computation characteristics of Cellular Automata and integrates object-oriented method. Simulation experiment result shows using Entity Automata to model and simulate railway transportation system is feasible.

on the curved sections of track movement of trains as defined in the transverse vibrations of the system "train - path." The simulation model of the system is made in MATLAB language. In tight curves when driving at maximum permitted speed system works under extreme conditions, causing high stress in a carriage and in the train path. Moreover, the system operates with the limit from the viewpoint of safety. The need to quantify the wear of the railway track and trains, assess safety and comfort is particularly relevant at the present time in connection with the commissioning of tilting train, for which the transverse vibrations of the train is very significant. The simulation model also includes the ability to prepare for the measurements and experimental studies, because it allows you to get accurate results, which are expected during sea trials in normal and extreme conditions, leading to time and cost savings.

Using scientific publications the paper analyzes the mathematical models developed in Ukraine, CIS countries and abroad for theoretical studies of train dynamics and also shows the urgency of their further improvement. Methodology. Information base of the research was official full-text and abstract databases, scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists, professional periodicals, materials of scientific and practical conferences, methodological materials of ministries and departments. Analysis of publications on existing mathematical models used to solve a wide range of problems associated with the train dynamics study shows the expediency of their application. Findings. The results of these studies were used in: 1) design of new types of draft gears and air distributors; 2) development of methods for controlling the movement of conventional and connected trains; 3) creation of appropriate process flow diagrams; 4) development of energy-saving methods of train driving; 5) revision of the Construction Codes and Regulations (SNiP ΙΙ-39.76); 6) when selecting the parameters of the autonomous automatic control system, created in DNURT, for an auxiliary locomotive that is part of a connected train; 7) when creating computer simulators for the training of locomotive drivers; 8) assessment of the vehicle dynamic indices characterizing traffic safety. Scientists around the world conduct numerical experiments related to estimation of train dynamics using mathematical models that need to be constantly improved. Originality. The authors presented the main theoretical postulates that allowed them to develop the existing mathematical models for solving problems related to the train dynamics. The analysis of scientific articles published in Ukraine, CIS countries and abroad allows us to determine the most relevant areas of application of mathematical models. Practical value. The practical value of the results obtained lies in the scientific validity and applied orientation of theoretical studies using mathematical models, the improvement of which will expand the range of problems to be solved, and increase the level of reliability of the results obtained.

In the study has been applied combined method of linear optimization and decision tree for determining the optimal organization of different categories passenger intercity trains. In the paper was examined the possibility of introducing the direct regional fast trains by reducing the number of stops. It was introduced a coefficient of directness of passenger flows as an indicator of selection of direct assignments of regional fast trains. Certain alternatives (variant schemes) and strategies for services of different passenger flows were determined. In research was applied an expert method to determine the probabilities for variation of passenger flows and transport demand. The model was experimented of rail line Sofia – Plovdiv– Burgas and was proposed an organization of railway passenger transport.

The article describes the historical background of the introduction and development of high-speed traffic in the world. The main documents regulating the joint work of high-speed trains of the Commonwealth countries are considered. The main problems of high-speed traffic in Ukraine, and the railway as a whole are studied, analyzed, and described. Recommendations of the company SYSTRA, and the results of developments of Khargiprotrans JSC on the design, implementation and operation of high-speed highways in Ukraine are considered. In conclusion, the current state of the railways, the problems of the current track maintenance has been studied. For Ukraine, first of all, the fourth stage of construction which will connect Lviv with Kiev should be put into operation, based on the analysis of the passenger traffic of the State Committee of Statistics. In this direction, the roadbed and artificial structures are in satisfactory condition. The upper track structure of has sufficient streng...

This review introduces the concept of high-speed trains in simplistic engineering terms. This review aims to discuss how the high speed trains function and what implications they have on public transportation. The objective of this review is to introduce to the reader the functions of a high-speed train. The scope of this review only extends to reviewing the relevant material provided. This review does not involve an experimental or simulation study. The paper is organized into four sections. Types of tracks, Power, Flow field around the train and economic efficiency of the train. In the depth of this article, the detailed explanation of the track system, power generation, aerodynamics, and the economic efficiency of the high speed train are provided, which will give a perfect visualization of the mechanism [how it works] of the whole system.

The determination problem of adhesion coefficient of locomotives’ wheels with rails is described in this paper. The use of methods of mathematical statistics and theory of probability provides wider possibilities for determining the most acceptable (suitable) value of the adhesion coefficient. The random factors influencing on this value are analysed. The use of the adhesion coefficient values based on reliable research results could help maintain uninterrupted (continuous) traffic of heavy freight trains and increase not only the carrying capacity, but also the volume of the transported goods. The paper considers a mathematical model of steady traffic of heavy freight trains pulled by upgraded locomotives of the series 2M62M on railway line with a gradient. The research results show that the actual values of the adhesion coefficient and the total resistance are distributed according to the normal distribution law. A mode of locomotive motion largely depends on the relationship betw...
