Oligodontia is defined as the developmental absence of six teeth or more, excluding third molars. Anodontia is defined as complete absence of teeth, and hypodontia is missing one to five teeth. The consequences of missing teeth include abnormal occlusion or altered facial appearance, which can cause psychological distress in some patients. Orthopantomograph and lateral skull radiograph are useful to view the development of primary and permanent tooth buds and jawbones. A multidisciplinary approach is required to complete oral rehabilitation, which includes orthodontic treatment, surgical intervention, prosthodontic rehabilitation, and psychological counseling.

Background: Oligodontia is a genetic disorder which represents the congenital absence of more than six teeth in primary, permanent or both dentitions. It is usually a part of a syndrome and seldom occurs as an isolated entity. Genes responsible for non syndromic oligodontia are found to be MSX1 and PAX9 genes. Methods: Karyotyping was done taking sample from peripheral blood. Cytogenetic chromosome analysis revealed a normal male karyotype (46, XY) without any structural or numerical chromosome abnormalities. Hand wrists, clavicles, vertebral skeleton, skull and chest were found to be normal on radiological examination. After excluding other possible differential factors, the final diagnosis of non-syndromic Oligodontia was made. Preliminary impressions were made using impression compound and was molded on the edentulous ridge. Custom trays were fabricated and border molding was done using green stick impression compound and secondary impressions were made using zinc oxide eugenol impression paste. After maxillo-mandibular jaw relations, dentures were processed through compression molding technique. Dentures were inserted and the patient was taught about the insertion and removal of the dentures. Post insertion instructions regarding denture wear, functions of speech, mastication, hygiene and maintenance were given to the patient and the parent. Results: The patient was using prosthesis and happy with it during one year follow up. The rehabilitation with removable dentures at current age and later with osseo-integrated implants served as a satisfactory treatment outcome in such patients. Conclusion: This case report presents prosthodontic rehabilitation of a rare case of non-syndromic oligodontia in a 7-year old male patient with agenesis of all permanent teeth except the maxillary central incisors.

Oligodontia is the agenesis of 6 or more teeth, excluding third molars. The etiology of congenital absence of teeth is believed to be rooted in heredity or developmental anomalies. The absence of teeth in patients can cause aesthetic, functional, and psychological problems, particularly if the anterior region is involved. This case report describes the multidisciplinary treatment approach toward a patient 17 years of age with non-syndromic oligodontia, with absence of 11 permanent teeth. Genetic counseling revealed non-syndromic, autosomal-recessive-linked oligodontia. The objectives of the first phase of therapy were pre-prosthetic orthodontic space opening for proper positioning of the missing teeth and correction of inter-maxillary relations, as a prerequisite for proper prosthetic restoration. The second phase of therapy was prosthetic restoration of the missing teeth and provision of occlusion with full-mouth porcelain fused to metal crowns and bridges after increasing occlusal...

Tooth agenesis is one of the most common congenital anomalies seen in humans. Although absence of one or more teeth is common but absence of multiple teeth is rare. Oligodontia is a rare developmental anomaly, involving agenesis of six or more permanent teeth, excluding the third molars. The reported prevalence of oligodontia in permanent dentition is 0.14%. Oligodontia can present as an isolated condition or as a part of a syndrome. The present case report highlights a unique case of non syndromic oligodontia, with agenesis of four permanent incisors, left permanent canine and right second premolar in the mandibular arch and its management with a novel fixed functional prosthetic appliance. Prosthetic rehabilitation is an urgent need for these kind of patients so that they do not suffer from masticatory and esthetic problems which can eventually lower the self esteem of individuals.

Statement of the Problem: Oligodontia (severe partial anodontia) is a developmental dental anomaly. It is either an isolated trait or part of a syndrome. Oligodontia is characterized by the congenital absence of more than six permanent teeth except the third molars. Treatment often calls for facilitated surgical techniques, but less severe cases can be treated conventionally in a normally equipped dental office. Case Presentation: A case of oligodontia treated with prosthetic rehabilitation is presented in this article to remind clinicians of the anomaly. A medical history was taken and clinical and radiographic examinations were made. It is emphasized that conventional prosthetic treatment can lead to a satisfactory result. The patient was treated with fully extending denture prostheses. An overdenture was designed in the maxillary arch, while a removable partial denture was made in the mandibular arch. Results: The patient's speech and masticatory function improved greatly. He was also pleased with better facial esthetics. Observed temporomandibular joint dysfunction also ameliorated after the treatment. Conclusion: Dental clinicians should keep in mind that there are good possibilities with conventional prosthodontic techniques to help patients with dental anomalies. Treatment not only improves speech and masticatory function but also has psychological implications that may greatly help in regaining self-confidence. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE Patients suffering from oligodontia may have severe psychological, esthetic, and functional problems. Thus, early diagnosis and treatment of these patients are necessary.

The aim of this report is to describe the management of a 16-year-old patient with oligodontia including six permanent teeth. Oligodontia is agenesis of six teeth or more, excluding third molars. The etiology of congenital absence of teeth is believed to be involved in heredity or developmental anomalies. It can be isolated or as part of a syndrome. There are a number of options available to restore space generated by missing teeth. Dental treatment can vary depending on the severity of the disease and generally requires a multidisciplinary approach. Treatment options include orthodontic therapy, implants, adhesive techniques, and removable prostheses. A 16-year-old male patient with oligodontia affecting six permanent teeth received conservative care that met his and his parent's expectations. The existing primary teeth were restored to resemble permanent teeth in order to achieve a favorable esthetic result using direct composite resin. The restorative treatment was provided f...

Oligodontia, a form of hypodontia commonly seen in permanent than in deciduous dentition. It is defined as the congenital absence of six or more teeth, excluding third molars. It is relatively a rare condition that can occur either as an isolated finding or as part of a syndrome. A case of nonsyndromic oligodontia in a 12-year-old boy with congenital absence of all permanent teeth except the premolars (excluding third molars) and over-retained deciduous dentition with conical shaped anteriors is reported. The prevalence, possible etiological factors and treatment options of the condition is reviewed.

Financial management of the company needs the special attention from financial manager and other department of organization to reach the objective of company maximizing the return to shareholder (Balcidore, 1997). Ratio analysis is a very powerful analytical tool useful for measuring performance of an organization. Accounting ratios may just be used as symptom like blood pressure, pulse rate, body temperature, physician analyze these information to know the causes of illness. Similarly, the financial analyst should also analyze the accounting ratios to diagnose the financial health of an enterprise and denote area which need special attention from financial managers (Higgins, 1997). Ratio analysis used the quantitative data obtained from the financial statement (statement of profit/loss, statement of financial position, cash flow statement and statement of share owner equity) these four financial statements provide the quantitative data which will be used in ratio analysis. Accounting ratios play different roles in forecasting and planning, trend in costs, sales, profits and other facts can be known by computing ratios of relevant accounting figures of last few years the result may be useful for forecasting and planning future business activities (Brigham and Eugene, 2008) Also accounting ratio used Measurement of Operating Efficiency, ratio analysis indicates the degree of efficiency in the management utilization of its assets different activity ratios indicate the operational efficiency, solvency of a firm depends upon the sales revenues generated by utilizing its assets ((Kieso and Weygand, 1989). Other roles of conducting ratio analysis is Inter-firm Comparison:, Compare performance of two or more firms reveals efficient and inefficient firms, enabling the inefficient firms to adopt suitable measures for improving their efficiency. The best way of inter-firm comparison is to compare the relevant ratios of the organization with the average ratios of the industry (Perrins and Beg, 1971). Also ratio analysis used by financial manager to allocate resources, activity evaluation and managerial evaluation. A single variable alone on financial statement does not gave the analyst a clear picture of the financial situation of company but ratio help to make easier understanding and interpreting the financial statement of company and make decision depend on the result obtained example current asset alone does not provide the clear picture but once we relate current asset and current liability CR=CA/CL it gave a relationship between the current asset and current liability (how

When it comes to causal conclusions, rigor matters. To this end we impose high standards for how studies from which we draw causal conclusions are conducted. For instance, we are widely urged to prefer randomized controlled trials (RCTs) or instrumental variable (IV) models to observational studies relying just on correlations, and we have explicit criteria for what counts as a good RCT or a good IV model. But we tend to be shockingly sloppy when it comes to making explicit just what the causal conclusions we draw mean, why the methods we employ are good for establishing conclusions with just that meaning, and what can defensibly be taken to follow from these claims. With respect to what can be inferred from the limited causal conclusions our studies support, we are far too prone to over reach, to 'generalize' that what holds in a study or handful of studies holds widely. But, I shall argue, we do not get arrant for general claims by generalizing. Rather it takes a great tangle of scientific work to support a general claim, including a great deal of conceptual development, theory and the confirmation of a variety of different kinds of effects that the general claim implies.
