The roof structure above the Lutheran Parish Church in Sibiu consists of several units. Based on the dendrochronological studies conducted between 2012 and 2016, the building and repair of the 14th-16th century roof structures can be dated accurately to a year, and at the same time the church’s building history, which was previously uncertain, can be easily traced. The roof structures in Sibiu are the earliest still standing roof structures in Transylvania, thus they deserve special attention, especially as they allow us to observe the development of mediaeval carpentry and roof structures.

Whereas it contains a comparative jurisprudence, the paper is majorly based on the Kenyan experience.

El artículo se refiere al debate intelectual derivado de las “lecturas” y los relatos que Juan García del Río y José María Samper hicieron en la primera mitad del siglo XIX del “proceso” de la Independencia y de las vicisitudes que experimentó la Nueva Granada en los primeros años de vida republicana. Se refiere, en particular, a las versiones más o menos divergentes del mismo proceso político, concebidas cada una de ellas en contextos sociopolíticos diferentes, con el n de incidir en la opinión pública. Se propone demostrar que la experiencia de vida particular de los ensayistas, inuenciada por autores y revoluciones políticas diferentes (la del bienio crucial en Hispanoamérica y la de 1848 en Francia, respectivamente), dio origen a dos versiones, en buena parte encontradas, del mismo proceso histórico. Estas experiencias de vida particulares fueron modeladas por dos “lenguajes” políticos distintos que, desde mi perspectiva, también propiciaron interpretaciones diferentes del mismo proceso revolucionario.
