STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE At the core of every business, lies a set of financial decisions, that are crucial and instrumental in determining the success and viability of the company. This delicate balance requires a keen understanding of market trends and business trends. I did my BBA with e- banking and finance as my major specialization, I have always been intrigued by the banking and financial services industry. Early in my career, I had the opportunity to intern HDFC bank where I worked with loans, investment tools and understanding the financial literacy of general public. It fascinated me how an industry can facilitate tools and methods for an individual to secure their finance and at the same time gain monetary benefits regardless of their income or the class of the society they belonged to, It saddened me at the same time that very few people were aware on how they can work with their finances. This was my first cue to understand the market. My current job requires me to interact with investment managers, as I handle their non-core operations. This gave me a perspective about financial market, moreover I got to understand the functioning of markets across the globe. It made me more eager to learn in depth about this field. I aspire to work with core Investment banks and institutions, create strategic and innovative financial plans and eventually contribute something instrumental to this field. A PGDM will help me expand my knowledge, understand and learn more about the key concepts, provide me with analytical thinking, and the industry- inspired projects to gain more insights of field. Being associated with financial Institutions, I believe, Finance is a perfect blend of strategic, mathematical and requires knowledge of market trends. I also realized the importance of managerial skills, to survive and prosper in corporate culture. It’s very important for an individual to have both knowledge and professionalism to interact to their clients, and secure a positive curve of growth in their careers. A PGDM will help me acquire both technical and soft skills required to pursue a career in this industry. It will help me identify industries, recognize ventures that will provide higher returns, help gain strategic and tactical knowledge about the functionality of portfolios, so someday I can provide more promising and customized tools for better returns. It will also help me grow as an individual, for I believe there is huge scope of improvement, that I am yet to experience in life. I have always been keen on acquiring new skill sets, eager to take on new opportunity, and willing to put in the required hard work. I believe, if given an opportunity, I will be able to move in the right direction and with TAPMI , I believe I will be able to achieve my ambition. I look forward to undergoing two years of rigorous self-improvement, optimizing this once in a lifetime opportunity and walk out as a learned individual who can give back something meaningful to the society.
