I argue that the way to some better social order – one that responds to the editors’ call for “goodness and hope, ideas and inspirations” – requires initial engagement in a program of destruction – destruction of the notion of hope in organization as being something that is subject to singular, shared conceptualisation of what ‘hope’ actually constitutes and, thereby, what is ‘good’, and towards what ends ideas and inspirations are to be directed. Such a proposal is, of course, one that is characterized by extreme risk – risk that the destruction is too limited or fails to materialise…. or is complete and irreversible.
