There are a lot of terms used to describe computers. To put it in simple words a computer can be defined as an electronic device that processes instructions and produces an output to the user. To unveil the secret behind this process, understanding of individual components is important. Starting with the case, we'll discuss the role and functionalities of the various peripherals and hardware which are integral parts of the computer. What is a Computer? A machine that can be programmed to : Receive information. Process the information according to a set of suitable instructions. Display desired result information. Ce mémoire présente la modélisation et le contrôle d’un moteur asynchrone à double alimentation (MADA), associé à un convertisseur bidirectionnel par la technique de modulation de la largeur d'impulsion (MLI). En premier lieu, le contrôle de la MADA est réalisé par l'approche du flux rotorique orienté, ce qu’on appelle la commande vectorielle ; dans cette approche, la régulation se fait par des régulateurs PI classiques, ces derniers ayant des dépassements indésirables et des erreurs statiques dans les systèmes non linéaires. Pour cette raison, l'introduction de la commande par mode glissant sous la forme d'une loi de commande basée sur la structure variable et la théorie de Lyapunov présente un bon choix, cette stratégie de commande est invariante à la non- linéarité du système, elle est aussi : précise, stable, simple et présente un bon temps de réponse. Cependant, cette technique de commande pose le problème des fluctuations sur les différentes grandeurs de sortie de la MADA, la cause principale de ce problème est l’effet de « Chattering ». Finalement, nous avons proposé la synthèse d’un régulateur à base de l’intelligence artificielle, à savoir ici, la logique floue. Les résultats de simulation obtenus sous Matlab/Simulink mettent en évidence la haute performance des stratégies de commandes proposées ainsi que leur robustesse vis-à-vis les variations paramétriques de la MADA.

I discuss in this paper the six requirements Aristotle advances at Posterior Analytics A-2, 71b20-33, for the premisses of a scientific demonstration. I argue that the six requirements give no support for an intepretation in terms of “axiomatization”. Quite on the contrary, the six requirements can be consistently understood in a very different picture, according to which the most basic feature of a scientific demonstration is to explain a given proposition by its appropriate cause.

Coral reef preservation is a challenge for the whole of humanity, not just for the estimated three billion people that directly depend upon coral reefs for their livelihoods and food security. Ocean acidification combined with rising sea surface temperatures, and an array of other anthropogenic influences such as pollution, sedimentation, over fishing, and coral mining represent the key threats currently facing coral reef survival. Here we summarize a list of agreements, policies, and socioeconomic tools and instruments that can be used by global, national and local decision-makers to address ocean acidification and associated threats, as identified during an expert workshop in October 2017. We then discuss these tools and instruments at a global level and identify the key tasks for raising decision makers' awareness. Finally, we suggest ways of prioritizing between different actions or tools for mitigation and adaptation.
