Abstract
Article about Dionysus: The article "To the Ecstasytherapist Dionysus - Do we need new Mysteries?" is about the search for what our modern soul is deeply in need of, in order to return to the whole. It is a Wakeup-Call from the Past to take a closer look again on our cultural Shadow-Aspects and on the Parts of our Souls, which we have abandoned long ago. This archetypal Trance-Therapist reminds us also that we have been culturally domesticated and forgotten the essential facets of our own roots. Dionysus is a mirror for our intellectual overweight and a reminder against one-sidedness. He asks us to be alive in the here and now - like wild gods. This appeal also resonates with modern psychology and psychotherapy which is often missing out the Body and the other Dimensions of our being, beside the Intellect. This is why Therapy often stays far behind it´s possibilities and Potential.
