9 Seit 2003 finden dank der Unterstützung der ägyptischen Altertümerverwaltung jährlich archäologische Feldforschungen auf dem Gebel Assiut al-gharbi, dem im Westen der Stadt Assiut gelegenen Kalksteinberg, statt. Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler sowie Studierende aus Europa, Afrika und Asien erforschen die 5000 jährige Geschichte des Berges und der Stadt Assiut (alle Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer des Unternehmens sind am Ende dieses Textes aufgeführt). Das „Asyut Project“ wird von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft als Langzeitvorhaben gefördert und stellt eine Kooperation der Freien Universität Berlin, der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz und der Universität Sohag dar. Im folgenden werden die Gründe, die zu diesem Projekt führten, skizziert.

Imlā is in the high position among the branches of language. It constitutes an important foundation for written language. Errors in imlā can result in many problems and lead to errors in understanding sentence because of its unclear meaning. Students who are not Arabic speakers encounter many problems when learning this realm. Therefore, it is needed an appropriate method to adapt students language ability with their language level. This study aims to explain several methods of teaching Imla for non Arabic speakers. The suggested method here is adjusted with the four types of imlā, namely: Imlā Manqūl, Imla Manżūr, Imla Masmū’ and Imla Ikhtibāri. Besides it is provided with applicative examples in the teaching of imlā based on certain stages that should be taken by a teacher. This study attempted to prove the influence of the use of the word square in teaching vocabulary at MTsN I South Tangerang City, i.e., to prove students' ability of two classes, before and after using the learning model of word square in teaching learning vocabulary. The research is descriptivequantitative using the experimental method. The sample of this study was the students of VIII-8 and VIII-11 class in the academic year of 2016-2017. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, vocabulary test, and questionnaire for students of the experimental class. Based on the results of data analysis, the average score of the experimental class was 16,11 and the average score of the control class was 10,65. The score of to was 2,70 and the score of tt was 1,67; then, to was greater than tt. Thus, the use of learning model of word square in teaching vocabulary was significantly effective.

This article discusses one of the works of hadīth scholar, which is known as “Arba`īn”. The writers of Arba`īn collect forty hadīths from different topics and then combined them into one book. Some of them innovated in combining the hadīth. This type of work is known as “Arba`ūn Buldāniyah”. The first scholar to do this is al-Ḥāfiẓ Abū Ṭāhir as-Silafi, then followed by his student, Ibnu `Asākir. Shaikh Yāsīn, a Hadīth scholar from Indonesia who lived in Mecca since he was child. Shaikh Yāsīn had a good reputation in Isnād (chain of hadīths) by maintaining the continuous line of transmission from his teacher, the teachers of his teacher, and to the author of the book studied, as was done by previous scholars. He contributed to the writing of An Arba`īn book which contained forty hadīth from forty scholars (teachers) from forty cities in the Islamic world.
