From source that I seek, I found out that bilingualism and language acquisition doesn’t delay any of them. Here is some argument that I make to support my reason. The first one is A bilingual home environment may cause a temporary delay in the onset of both languages. The bilingual person comprehension of the two languages is normal for a people of the same age, however, and the child usually becomes proficient in both languages before the age of fifteen years. Next, learning some different is sometimes believed to cause language delay, though evidence does not support this position. Learning bilingually neither increases nor reduces the chance of language disorder or delay. Next, Although many people believe that bilingualism results in language delay, research suggests that monolingual and bilingual person meet major language developmental milestones at similar times. In conclusion although some people may have concerns about the potential for confusion, but I believe that bilingual person do not suffer language confusion, language delay, or cognitive deficit.
