Academic year 2023-2024: August 7-10, 2024 - I will present a paper "Soviet Red Cross Female Doctors’ Work in Asia and Africa during the Cold War” at the International Federation of Women's History Research annual conference, Tsuda University in Tokyo, Japan. * June 11-12, 2024 - I will present a paper "The International Red Cross Film Festival in Bulgaria, 1965-1991" at the "Socialist Humanitarianism in the Long Twentieth Century" conference, University of Manchester, UK. June 5-6, 2024 - Me and my colleague Burak Sayim, we have organized a two days history research workshop "Cold War Internationalisms of/in the Decolonizing World" for seventeen participants at the Geneva Graduate Institute, Switzerland. Here is our call for papers. We will have the director of Cold War Studies Project Mark Kramer (Harvard University) as our keynote speaker, as well as sixteen professors, postdocs, and PhD researchers as participants. The workshop enjoys financial and administrative support from the Pierre Du Bois Foundation. The Global Sixties Journal will publish selected papers from the workshop in its special issue. * May 23-36, 2024 - I will participate at the Wilson Center CARE International Research Group Colloquium in Salzburg, Austria. This meeting is part of Wilson Center project that I am part of as a global fellow since 2022. * April 6, 2024 – I participated in a rountable “Soviet Developmentalist Internationalism in the Third World: Between Theory and Practice.” BASEES annual convention, University of Cambridge, the UK. March 11, 2024 - I gave a talk at Jordan Center on my ongoing project on the history of the Soviet Red Cross, New York University, NY. Jordan Center uploaded a video recording of the talk on its youtube channel. *January 18, 2024 – I presented a paper “The International Red Cross Film Festival, 19651991” at the “International Conference on the Red Cross and Communism” at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.
