Interface: a journal for and about social movements, 2022

Naming racism has been usually seen as a necessary step for understanding racism and undertaking anti-racist action. However, the explicit naming of racism does not immediately tell us what kind of understanding of racism is at stake nor what kinds of action will follow. In the context of an incipient turn to antiracism in Latin America we conducted a project looking at antiracist activities in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico. It became apparent that different organisations varied markedly in their approaches to the concept and language of racism. Some explicitly use the language of racism, other organisations do not, even though they are engaged in struggles for land, rights, etc., which clearly have a racialised dimension. This difference revealed variations in the awareness of racism, which came in and out of focus in their practice. With examples from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and Ecuador, we discuss the antiracist effects of what we call "alternative grammars of antiracism" and the "racially-aware class consciousness" they imply. We end by questioning the assumption that the explicit naming of racism as such is necessary to advance antiracist work, and suggest that employment of more indirect ways of evoking racism, which imply an awareness of structural racism, have some advantages for antiracist practice.

El objetivo es calcular los esfuerzos de un paso inferior de autovía. Inicialmente el programa SAP no hacía diseño de secciones, pero en las sucesivas versiones se ha ido introduciendo esta prestación, y en la actualidad es capaz de hacer diseño de secciones según varias normas entre las que se incluye el Eurocódigo. Es por ello que al final del presente módulo veremos como completar el cálculo de nuestro modelo haciendo uso del menú "Design" Características geométricas del modelo:  calcular un marco de 8 m x 4.5 m (luces libres)  altura de tierras (incluido firme) 2.50 m  longitud 27.60 m  Definición geométrica de la sección según el siguiente gráfico: 7 Curso SAP2000. Ovaj rad za predmet analize ima verbalne asocijacije koje su, u asocijativnom testu, ispitanici davali na stimuluse Arapi i Arapin. Test je popunilo 654 ispitanika, koji su naveli ukupno 1.503 kontinuirane reakcije. Reakcije su složene po frekventnosti i analizirane po tematskim grupama, sa ciljem da se stekne bolji uvid u stereotipe koji važe za ovaj orijentalni narod, na srpskom govornom području. Rezultati analize su pokazali da se naša predstava o Arapima, u najvećoj meri, svodi na nivo medijske informisanosti. Dominantne kategorije stereotipa vezanih za Arape možemo svesti na nekoliko tematskih grupa, koje se međusobno preklapaju. Najveće su: simboli bogatstva, životno okruženje, odevanje i fizički izgled. Ostale reakcije smo svrstali u manje tematske grupe, među kojima su: naša narodna književnost, ratovanje i religija, žene, profesije i drugi narodi, uz nekoliko manjih grupa, koje ovde nisu bile predmet analize. Analizirani su i vrednosni stavovi i sudovi o Arapima, među kojima ima pozitivnih i onih izrazito negativnih. Najfrekventnije osobine koje pripisujemo Arapima možemo stvrstati u sledeće kategorije: higijena, stepen razvijenosti, karakterne crte, odnos prema drugima i način ispoljavanje emocija.
