Fun Creative Team Challenges Newspaper Roll Tower Building Competition How it works: Each team cuts a newspaper into triangular bits, rolls them up, and glues them into sticks, then builds a tower with it. The team that builds the highest tower wins. Supplies per team:  One newspaper  One glue stick Cardboard Bench Sitting Competition How it works: Each team builds a bench for two people. The team whose bench withstands the heaviest person in class sitting on it wins. Supplies per team:  Two sheets of corrugated cardboard, 120 x 240 cm  One hotglue gun  Ten hotglue sticks  One cutter Cardboard Bridge for water bottle competition How it works: Each team builds a bridge between two desks. The team whose bridge withstands rolling a water dispenser container over it wins. Supplies per team:  Two sheets of corrugated cardboard, 120 x 240 cm  One hotglue gun  Ten hotglue sticks  One cutter Mousetrap Powered Car Race How it works: Each team builds a vehicle, powered by a mouse trap. The team whose vehicle goes furthest wins. Supplies per team:  One mouse trap  A package of chopsticks  Four CDs  One hotglue gun  Ten hotglue sticks  Two meters of string  One roll of packaging tape   One 60 x 90 sheet of foam board Two wire coat hangers Cardboard Shoe Distance Walking Competition How it works: Each team builds pair of shoes, and appoints a person to wear them. The team whose shoes are still working once all team walkers have finished a parcours wins. The action is videotaped to determine at which time shoes disintegrate. Supplies per team:  One sheet of corrugated cardboard, 120 x 240 cm  One hotglue gun  Five hotglue sticks  One cutter  Forty envelope pins  One video camera Water Bottle Distance Transporter Competition How it works: Each team builds a contraption to transport a water dispenser bottle and finishes a parcours. The team whose contraption is still working once all teams have finished wins. The action is videotaped to determine at which time contraptions disintegrate. The team that builds the highest tower wins. The team whose egg survives the drop wins. The team whose story is guessed the quickest by the audience wins.
