Jul 1, 2023 at 4:10 | comment | added | JBH | Hello @Sivlock, welcome to Worldbuilding. Please note for future reference that asking about choices is prohibited in the help center and asking "what happens next" is also prohibited as Too Story-Based. We're lenient with new users, but I hope you can see the difference. What happens when the god leaves a body is worldbuilding. Why would the god leave the body? is storybuilding. As you gain experience with the site, we'll hold you to that distinction. Remember to focus on rules, not decisions.

Jun 30, 2023 at 14:16 | comment | added | kaya3 | Real-world religions might give some inspiration for this: notably, the Christian God is supposed to have lived on Earth as a man and then left. There has been rather a lot of discussion since then over his reasons for doing so.

Jun 29, 2023 at 23:30 | comment | added | Tortliena - inactive | @Sivloc I believe your question is kinda in a grey area regarding closure. Indeed, looking for reasons a character might do something is often thought as writing the story (it's dependent on the individual), rather than the world's factual elements. For your next questions you could focus on the "how something happens", rather than the "why something happens". If you don't, clearly state you want reasons caused by how the world works. The goal is to remove one's personality and story circumstances from the equation :).
