Cargo

Wikispore has installed the Page Forms and Cargo extensions, which are not otherwise enabled anywhere else on Wikimedia projects.

These can provide an alternative/complementary approach to Wikibase, and have different points of strength that may be more suitable to some experimental projects. Among other aspects, this model is more suitable to extended text fields or "strings" on page forms, thus leaning more in the direction of "strings vs things", while still having considerable "things" functionality.

Uses on Wikispore

Wikispore projects using Page Forms:

• STARDIT (e.g. STARDIT/Involving ASPREE-XT participants in co-design of a future multi-generational cohort study)
• Law Spore (e.g. Law:CGS 1-218)

Potential future uses:

• Oral knowledge, with a form for describing interviews / context of an oral citation
• Lib Spore, brief text sections on aspects of e.g. a book may lend itself to this format
