This period bridges childhood to adulthood, and prepares the individual to step into the adult world, in which one faces considerable number of risks. Adolescents are critically indulged and attracted towards the internet world, especially online games. Recently we have come across the risk taking behaviour (suicidal tendency and suicidal attempts) done by teenagers and adolescents who were indulged in different online games like Bluewhale worldwide including India. Risk taking behaviour is a tendency to perform the activities like physical injury, social rejection, emotional detachment, suicidal thoughts and attempts. Risk-taking behaviour is more prevalent among youths with less parental supervision, and peers who also actively engage in risk-taking behaviour. The present study investigates the possible underlying motivations behind online suicidal games among adolescents likeincreased risk-taking capacity among youths, including greater levels of risk tolerance, sensation seeking and impulsivity. The investigation will focus on different psychological factors like peer pressure, parental pressure, academic stress, depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, frustration, avoidance and type of personality for suicidal behaviour with the help of case studies, data and information provided by different sources in the form of interviews with victims, their parents, and police. It is expected that the study will help us to counsel adolescents properly and prevent themfrom trying such risky and challenging activities.

Adolescent is a very critical age of any child with lots of physical and emotional changes which can dramatically affect their psyche and behaviour. Emotional maturity is the ability to understand and manage our emotions which helps us to achieve our life goals and desires. On the other hand adjustment is to make a change in our behaviours and needs just to be balanced with the environment. Both concepts play an important role in the life of an adolescent. The investigators used Adjustment Inventory for School Students (AISS) by Sinha & Singh (2005) and Emotional Maturity Scale (EMS) by Singh & Bhargava (1999) to test level of adjustment and emotional maturity of the sample. The age of sample population was 14 to 18 years. Sample (N=100) was randomly selected from different private and government schools of Patna city. Further the sample was categorized into male (N=50), female (N=50) and adolescents of joint family (N=50), adolescents of nuclear family (N=50) based on gender and type of family. Correlation analysis was used to find out the relationship between the variables on different dimensions. The results indicated a significant positive relationship of emotional maturity with adjustment (p˂.05) among high school adolescents. The relationship was also positive among male and female, joint family and nuclear family adolescents. Emotional maturity was found to have a negative correlation (p˂.05) with educational adjustment among high school adolescents.
