Obafemi Fayomi
Obafemi Fayomi is a Juris Doctor Student at University of Western Australia after working as a Registered Nurse and a stint at being the Managing Editor of Newsonthego Nigeria. Skilled in analysis, problem solving, customer service delivery and communication through work experiences and academic studies. He has extensive experience in the banking sector where he fully developed his organizational skills. Prior to this, he was the Super Editor at Jetheights Services Limited. Since then he has developed his penchant for information and communication. Obafemi Fayomi, is an alumni of YLP LEAP Africa and has worked directly with young teenage girls in a secondary school in Ibadan where he conducts awareness programs in an effort to reduce teenage pregnancy. Thence, exposed to the challenges facing under aged children who gets pregnant in their teens, he initiated a change project under the auspices of LEAP Africa to address these challenges. He was the Director of School Health Advocacy Program of HAPPY Nigeria for a year where he coordinates the activities of HIV/AIDS Prevention Promotion Youth Clubs in Nigeria Universities. He is a man who has his priorities straight and in right orders whose ambition are big enough to accommodate others and does not believe that shrewdness, cunning and ruthlessness are the keys to success and he is an example of simple truths. He knows how to win with grace and lose with dignity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Education/Political Science, Master’s Degree in Political Science both from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Bachelor of Nursing from Murdoch University Western Australia and currently studying for Juris Doctor at University of Western Australia
