However it has gained tremendous importance. Management as a science is preoccupied with business. In the recent past it has a gained application in other areas- governances, political leadership developmental issues and even ethics. It draws heavily from behaviourial science, economics, (applied & analytical) mathematics, computer and science. Future log ethics, metaphysics and even physics etc. Management has become catch word for life skills. In fact it has become the key skill both for individual, society, organization (including business), manufacturing, public issue (say health, hygiene, and education) and in fact it is an all encompassing skill. In order to identify the same, in this research, primary data was collected. Data was collected by sharing survey questionnaire with 50 random consumers of Amazon. From their responses it was found that factors such as low price of products, convenient and fast website, fast delivery, safe payment methods, high quality of products, and individuation are helping Amazon to ensure customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.

Toyota Motor Company used Toyota Production System which resulted in highly improvised quality products and waste minimization. Thus, it achieved one-in-one million defects. In Pharmaceutical Industries slightest error can have a disastrous and hazardous impact on human health. Hence Six Sigma methodology plays an important role in Pharmaceutical Industries as it results in 99.9997 % accuracy rate. We have applied Six Sigma & process capability into pharmaceutical process i.e. metals in tablets during coating operation. We have used DMAIC as a Six Sigma methodology. Some of the preventive measures are taken. This Paper depicts the applications of Six Sigma in Pharmaceutical industries.

The aim of the work is to first construct an optimal order quantity for the crisp case and then to develop the corresponding fuzzy model. In contrast to the previous inventory models, an allowable proportionate discount is incorporated for the defective items present in each lot to provide a general framework to the model. The aim of the present paper is to find the optimal order size and the expected shortage level so as to obtain the optimum total profit for both the models. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the optimal solutions are derived and it is also shown that under certain conditions the crisp model boils down the traditional EOQ backorder formula. For the fuzzy case, triangular fuzzy numbers are used for the defective rates and for defuzzification signed distance method is used. Finally, numerical example is provided to illustrate the solution procedure and sensitivity analysis is performed on the results to analyze the effect of the variations taken place for the parameters involved in the model.

In recent years increasingly sedentary life styles and poor eating habits have contributed to the simultaneous escalation of diabetes and obesity worldwide1,2. Objectives: (a) To assess the dietary patterns of diabetic patients of urban areas. (b) To study the effect of the diet and lifestyle on their glycemic control. Methods: This was a cross sectional study of diabetic patients attending diabetic outpatient clinic at Kalinga Institute of medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar. Result: Out of the total 50 patients, only 4% of the respondents had 30 BMI. 80% of the respondents had BMI 18.5-24.99. Only 4% of the respondents had a waist hip ratio (WHR) of 0.85. The percentage of energy from the protein, fat and carbohydrate (PFC) showed that 59.5% of the respondents had 15% protein, 87.5% had 25% fat and 17% had 60% carbohydrate. Discussion: A waist hip ratio of 0.85...

The objective of this study was to explore the employees' perceptions of the work environment and their acceptance of Diversity. A Diversity climate questionnaire was administered to a convenience sample of 75 employees from a population of 105 employees working in a Telecom Company, a MNC at Bhubaneswar. An independent sample t test was run to support the findings. The results show significant differences among investigated groups. For instance, higher education level, and age lead to a higher positive perception of diversity. It also shows a significant relationship between them.In between the study, two other diversity variables culture and language are discovered which could have taken in the study. Perception of the diversity climate helped in understanding the level of Diversity that is prevalent in the organization. This study will help in highlighting the need for more transparent and diversity-sensitive recruitment, promotion, and networking policies/practices.Our paper will contribute to the literature of Diversity Climate Perception by investigating the perception of employees on Diversity and the role that diversity will play on employees attitude and satisfaction level.
